Godrej Maxximilk farm
Godrej Maxximilk farm is located at the outskirts of Nashik, Maharashtra between the pastoral vineyards.
The herd is growing and in 2020 comprised of around 800 animals yielding on average 22 Kg per day in 305 days. The farm is mostly made up of Holstein crossbreeds but also includes some Jersey, Gir and other indigenous breeds. Our highest yielding animal in 2020 produced an average of 39 Kg of milk per day in 305 days and peaked
at 56 Kg. She produced a total of 11,895 kg in this lactation!
This extraordinarily high yield is not simply "milk". It is rich, top-quality milk, with remarkably low bacterial and somatic cell counts: MBRT is above 11 hours, average fat 4.3%, average protein 3.4%.
The farm employs progressive farming technologies that support and contribute to animal comfort and milk production. This in turn enables identification of the animals that are most suitable to become donors of the future generation.
